3 years old and doesn't look a day over 2 1/2

Jack hosted his third birthday party in grand style. With his friends -- Christine Graham, Molly Evans, Lucy Hubbard, Johnny & Camille Gracely -- Jack made Pullen Park his personal party scene for a few hours. I somehow had a camera malfunction during the birthday song, but it was sung with mucho gusto and the friends quickly attacked some yummy cupcakes. As you will see, Jack was feeling a little under the weather. You know it's bad when bottled water is more appealing than cake!

Here is the first footage on this blog of Jack on the train. He chose to sit away from his friends. They are sort of a loud sort, I'm sure he was trying to be cool and distance himself from the rowdy crowd.

Grandma Cantrell made it down for the big fiesta. We also had 2 guests too small for a lot of the galavantin' -- Caroline Evans and Anda Fox, near the same age at just a little over 3 months.

As you can see by the guest list, Jack likes the ladies.

Jack's big Easter film fest

Jack had a big Easter weekend. Went out to the big Easter egg hunt and to see the EB (Easter Bunny for those of you not in the know). The EB left a spectacular assortment of gifts, with the help of loved ones. Hope you all had a great Easter weekend and that the EB also treated you well!

A.k.a., Pullen Park. This is Jack's favorite hang out on the weekends. Jack and I actually rode the carousel 5 times last weekend. I'm probably the only 30-something you know that rides a carousel AND the train at Pullen Park every weekend. The carousel there is actually pretty neat, I have to admit. It's 100 years old with a working Wurlitzer. The train is pretty old, too. And they only cost a buck to ride.

Jack will be hosting his friends here for his big 3 year bash this weekend. Check out some highlights from a recent trip. (Note: there is no footage of the train. It was closed for repairs. Sore subject, don't bring it up with Jack)

I'm really not a bad mom...

From these videos you may think that I feed my child a constant stream of sugary treats. That's actually not the case (unless we are on vacation). But videos of Jack eating ice cream and licking a spoon are a lot more fun to watch than Jack eating cucumbers.
