Snow days in Raleigh

4 or 5 inches of snow may not sound like a big deal, but in Raleigh it is paralyzing. We have very few snow removal trucks, and not much salt. So, snow turns to ice and southerner wreck their cars all over the place.

We've had a great time sledding with Jack, and he's tasted his first hot chocolate. Have gotten rid of cabin fever by hanging out w/ friends, too.

But it's time for sunshine and warmer weather! Let's hope the groundhog has good news...

Big season finale at little gym

Jack has been going to the little gym to tumble around and get some energy out every Saturday since fall. Today he and his classmates got to show off their skills. Some kids cooperated, some wandered off and some just cried. In jack's debut live performance, I was a little surprised how much he liked people cheering and clapping for him. A star is born!

Birthday party

Jack's friend, Margaret, had her big number 4 at monkey joe's, a place where you jump around on inflatable things until you feel like you feel like you are going to barf. Then you eat cake. And jump some more. Fun times.

Anxiously waiting cake!
