Tree time

Seems strange to already be putting up a tree. It's 60+ degrees and sunny.

The Raleigh farmers market is the place to find the deals on trees and wreaths. Feel sorry for the farmers who must be under be feeling the recession. Definitely the lowest we've ever paid for a tree.

Here she is...

What a picture perfect and completely staged phony baloney pose.

John pretending to decorate the tree.

Pie: the creation and destruction.

Taking a break to watch the parade.

These are TRULY the days...

John's on a golf trip and I've taken full advantage of some serious bonding and fun time with the world's best boy: Jack L. Day.

First off, Krispy Kreme with friends. Next, Marbles kids' museum. Lunch with friends then Target. Home to play with new toys. Then NC museum of science (aka, the dinosaur museum) then dinner at Haru sushi. Not quite ready for sushi, but habachi steak w/ mushrooms, zucchini and carrots was a huge hit.

Dinos!

A bird and Dino bones.

How do these things work?!

Insisted on a chopsticks pic all by themselves. Kid-engineered.

Salad face. In his words, "I Lub this place! It's awesome!" Great news for us -- we LUB this place, too!

Halloween

Halloween was bigger -- and longer -- than ever this year. Multiple costumes, even! We have a TON of candy that needs to get OUT of this house!!

Trick or treating at Red Hat.

Very beguiling superman.

Piggie Anda, dragon Jack and engineer Patrick at the Fox's.

Tori and Emily helping the kiddies with their candy.

Jack insisted on going up to every door by himself. Very brave.

Jack and Miss Mary (and Lucy) next door.

Getting a special light up thingie from Miss Mary.

Showing his loot.

FIERCE!
